How to power on a copied VM?

Hi All,

My first test with VMWareTasks consists in copying an existing VM (vmx+vmdk. simple file copy) and powering it in my ESX server 2.0.

However, my program is stuck because of the dreaded "Did you move/copy/rename the VM?" that typically appears in the VM dashboard the first time you run a copy of a VM. How can I automate the answer ("I copied it"). I looked into the poweron options constants but couldn't find anything suitable.

TIA for your help.

(Aplogies if it's a FAQ that I missed while googling it)

FWIW, I found this post about VM automation using vmrun.

It explains that these 2 lines should be added to the vmx file:

uuid.action = "create"
msg.autoAnswer = "TRUE"

This solves my problem.
